CF40 Dinner in Honor of IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva
Leaving the pandemic behind, the world continues to face multiple challenges. With sustained inflation, weakened growth and vulnerable financial systems, what is the outlook of the global economy? In today’s fragmented world, what are the opportunities for international cooperation to address common challenges facing humanity?
On March 28, 2023, CF40 hosted a dinner in honor of Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), to discuss these critical issues and viable solutions. At the discussion, Madam Georgieva first gave the keynote and shared her views on global economy, the recent turbulence in the financial system, and the urgency to step up international cooperation to overcome the major challenges. Following her remarks were thematic discussions from Fang Xinghai, CF40 Advisor and Vice Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission, and Huang Yiping, Chairman of CF40 Academic Committee and Director of the Institute of Digital Finance (IDF) of Peking University.
